The opportunity
A founder with deep domain expertise in threat intelligence, and a market in which organisations needed better, faster, more usable intelligence about global risk. The opportunity was clear; what it needed was a company built around it.
What GCV Labs did
GCV Labs co-founded Intelligence Fusion with Michael McCabe and ran the full venture build process — from idea and proof of concept right through to launching, scaling and exiting the business, working inside the venture rather than alongside it. Craig Peterson served as interim chairman.
Product and technology
The GCV Labs team helped develop the core software product and threat intelligence and geopolitical risk management platform, applying the venture builder's solutions architecture, software development and QA capability throughout.
UX and UI
Cutting-edge UX and UI design was built into the platform from the outset, making complex intelligence usable for the people who rely on it.
Team development
GCV Labs helped recruit the team around the founder, strengthening the business at each stage of its growth.
Capital raising
Capital was raised in stages: first from the GCV Invest network, then from institutional core investors as the business proved product-market fit and its revenue model.
Growth and outcome
The business was acquired by Sigma7, a company backed by Growth Catalyst Partners, and now operates as S7 One — a threat intelligence and geopolitical risk management platform within the Sigma7 group.
